How to spot fake news

Social media is making it more and more difficult to distinguish between what information is real and what is fake. Moreover, with several malicious websites deliberately spreading false information to increase their internet traffic, it is important for everyone – especially future educators – to know how to distinguish between factual and misleading or false information.

The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) created the following infographic as a handy guide to help you spot fake news:
